The show for May 2nd has been cancelled. I am sorry. We held the rain off as long as we could and it won today. The arena is of course flooded. Plans are to have a makeup on the 23rd. Thank You!

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for any mix up or miscommunication today. The show was cancelled on Friday and I took what measures I could to notify all of the cancelling of the show. I understand that there were several that did not get the message. I, personally, will look at making a phone tree to ensure that all members are notified by phone from this point forward so it does not happen again.

April Meeting

Not alot going on at the moment. We discussed the issue with the water and hope the City will work with us on it. Problem is due to vandalism. We also discussed sponsors. We still need all we can get. That was pretty much it. As I said, not a lot going on because of the rain. Hope to see you all at a show soon. Have a great day!

The show for Saturday March 28th, 2009 has been cancelled. The arena is a small pond at the moment. Let's hope for sunny skies so we can show next weekend. Have a safe and happy day!

February 2009 Minutes

This is where I will be posting the minutes of our monthly meetings as well as any NEW news. Enjoy the site and let's keep it clean.

This year there will be a few small changes. The show bill has been updated to meet the needs of the Saddle Club. Any changes made were based on 2008 participation records. The most important change is that we have varied from the 4^th Saturday shows. This is because we end up with several rain out shows and no days to make them up. I have enclosed a list of show dates with possible rainout dates listed (weather permitting). This will help on the last minute decision making of rain out shows, which ALWAYS creates an inconvenience somewhere. We, as the board of directors and members of the board, understand this may conflict with other local shows and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We have scheduled a workday at the arena on March 21^st, 2009 @ 1pm (weather permitting) to include painting, cleaning, and general maintenance. We welcome any and all help. I have enclosed the list of classes for 2009. We understand the economy is rough for everyone including ourselves, which is why we may be making several revisions. This way we can continue to provide a fun and rewarding show for everyone.

Next board meeting is March 3^rd, 2009 at 7pm at the Milledgeville City Hall. If you need to contact us please feel free to do so. I will keep in touch via email for those I have emails for and by snail mail for those who do not. We hope to see you soon. Have a great day!

March 3, 2009 Meeting Conclusion

    The Saddle Club has endured a type of vandalism. The water was turned on at the shut off valve, the bathrooms were broken into and the water turned on in them. This caused the pipes to freeze and burst in the concessions building. This is a fixable problem, just frustrating that everything has to have an unaccessible lock placed on it tp prevent this type of thing.

Sponsors- we need them. For more information please call Crystal at 731-610-4069.

From now on points will be given to members placing only. In the past points were given to 1st-5th place but only counted for members. Now points will be given to the top 5 members in a class.

The sponsor board will be taken down, mainly because it is rotting, and the sponsors will now be listed on the side of the concessions stand.

Timed events only- If you choose to ride more than one horse in a class you must choose which horse you will receive points on.  Points will only be given to 1 horse per class. You can ride as many different horses as you want but can only keep points on 1 horse of your choice.

Next meeting will be April 7th, 2009 at 7 pm.
